The Ninth Annual Via Foundation Charitable Auction Brought in CZK 1,612,243

Donors gave a total of CZK 1,612,243 to support charity projects at the ninth annual Charitable Auction of Via Foundation and the South Moravian Community Foundation, which was held on November 2, 2015 at the Prague Marriott.

One of the most popular bidding items was NOTHING, which is – as the name implies – simply a gift without an object or experience attached to it. Guests bid on NOTHING for the pure joy of giving and investor Václav Dejčmar’s pledge to match the proceeds from NOTHING added extra excitement at the 2015 auction.

Other popular items included a diamond brooch from Erika Lori and a work of art by Pasta Oner.

The proceeds from the Via Foundation charitable auction are used to support community development projects, development of non-profit organizations and their leaders, philanthropy and fundraising development in the Czech Republic.

Over the past nine years, Czech philanthropists have bid on wines, artwork and exceptional experiences at Via Foundation auctions in a total amount of roughly CZK 9 million and we thank them all for their generosity!
